“The office of Mayor does not allow for on-the-job training. The learning curve is steep, and residents pay for it while you climb it.”
Endorsed by the people who answer the call
The firefighters who protect Castle Rock have given Laura their unanimous support — and the neighbors, business owners, and public servants who have worked with her are speaking up in their own words.

On behalf of its Executive Board and membership, Local 4116 voted unanimously to endorse Laura Cavey for Mayor of the Town of Castle Rock — a decision reached in the union's 25th anniversary year.
The letter credits Laura with taking the time to understand the challenges facing the department, listening to the perspectives of its membership, and recognizing that a growing community requires continued investment in the people, equipment, training, and infrastructure that keep Castle Rock's fire department world-class.
Why they stand with Laura
A retired police commander. A downtown business owner. A neighbor from just outside town limits. Each wrote to say why — read a line here, or the whole letter on its own page.
“I spent forty years hiring police officers, and what I looked for was somebody who could talk to a neighbor like a neighbor.”
“We need a Mayor who delivers real, tangible results, and that is why Laura Cavey has my full support and my vote.”
“She is willing to ask difficult questions and engage with neighboring communities when local decisions have broader implications.”
